A tough spreading wildflower with long, deep pink flowers rise above a mat of dark green leaves. Cerise Queen does well as a cut flower with a long vase life, and also holds up when dried. 

A reliable perennial, plant this yarrow where you want a touch of pink throughout the summer months. An umbel-like flowers floating above ribbed stems. Perfect for wilder parts of your garden and amongst ornamental grasses to attract bees, butterflies, hoverflies and other beneficial insects.

Yarrow is also good for cutting and drying. This fragrant wildflower is known for its feathery, fern-like foliage and flattened flower clusters. Achillea millefolium is easy to grow from seed and very drought-tolerant once established.

As for the Navajo historically considered it a "life medicine" and chewed the plant for toothaches and used its infusions for earaches.
