It commonly known as globe amaranth, makhmali, and vadamalli, is an edible plant from the family Amaranthaceae. The round-shaped flower inflorescences are a visually dominant feature and cultivars have been propagated to exhibit shades of Magenta.
Gomphrena has a perfectly-balanced habit that shows off a plethora of magenta flowers. It has performed very well in hot, humid climates where it blooms all season long. It is an ideal cut-flower with long vase life.
