Brigth Eyes Flax Seeds (Linum Rubrum)
A striking looking flax with an ivory white with chestnut brown in the middle that resemble eyes. A very unusual colour combination, and easy to cultivate. Sow this annual directly in the soil. Requires well-tilled and somewhat moist soil. Suitable for flower beds, borders, rock gardens and groups. A very lively addition to the garden. Large-flowered.
The seeds of the scarlet flax are shiny, because the oil content in them is quite high. Flax seeds produce linseed oil, which is used in baking and in bulk forming laxative.
